Wish I was there to applaud him Wouldn't mind him rising to smash home a header at the ponty end like he did mid earl 80s vs Brighton (me thinks)
RE: Wish I was there to applaud him The very same. Trevor x2 (including the big one), macca x1 and someone else I think???? I remember Steve Foster with headband for Brighton. Still must be one of the best reds displays I have ever seen.
You can get great adult education these days, Blademan... the post clearly states that he was at Oakwell celebrating promotion. Perhaps I might suggest reading first?
RE: I'll applaud him... Just missed him, sadly. My Dad speaks very highly of him though, as well as Glavin and "that" team.
RE: Why should I? Glad that everyone is of the same mind, up to kick off he will be treated well but rightly from that point we will all be hoping the reds stuff the wolves. I was lucky enough to see the Macca, Aylott, Glavin, Evans era and all of these players will never be treated poorly by me on their returns to the well. Got to be honest I feel we may well give Wolves a surprise since the tuesday result. My predicted score is 1-0 to the super reds with Hayes getting a penalty. Like watching lots of teams up and down the leagues but have never liked Wolves since the Mark Magoo days, it would be a real pleasure to put one over them. BT
I was at Worsbrough High School the same time as Mick He was in the year above me and was always respected by everyone , even at that age . Very mature attitude as a young lad , which has followed him throughout his life . Mick is the best centre half I've ever seen play for Barnsley and I've been watching since 1968 . He has never done or said anything to the detriment of his home town or club that I'm aware of . As far as I'm concerned , he'll get a warm reception ( along with Ian Evans ) prior to kick off . Then I'm 100% behind the team ( just like Mick was when he pulled on the shirt ) .
