Why not challenge your energy into trying to change something, rather than having a go at your fellow supporters. It's that mentality I've never understood. There's nobody showing total support for the board, it's quite evident at this point. But at the same time, there's no longer any protesting, or shows of discontent going on either.
I understand the theory behind this but if no one wants to buy the club then the current owners aren’t going anywhere. Starving the club of cash will just see it sink even further. The playing budget will get less and we’ll risk sinking to L2. I really don’t want to see that happen and can’t just turn my back, many others will feel the same. I see both sides of the argument but no answers. It’s a mess all of the owner’s making. How we get out of it I really don’t know, sadly.
It's a tough one but, sorry, IMHO, starving the club of cash is the only way even if it means in the medium term the club plumbs the depths of League 2. I know people argue football is unlike any other commercial enterprise but that is exactly what it has now become under the current owners. It is no longer a vehicle for sport or entertainment but merely a cash generating business (at least that is what the present owners intended but they can't even manage that!) Given the above i.e. that it is no longer different from any other business then you can argue that if you were a regular club goer and the DJ played sh*te every time you went, the crowds and atmosphere dwindled and drinks and entry fee became overpriced you would go elsewhere (not an option for most football club fans) or simply find some other form of entertainment or hobby. It is the same with a favourite restaurant... if the chef changed, service and food was poor and the staff clearly did not give a sh*t about the customer then you would not keep giving your hard earned money to them. Why should BFC now be any different? Owners who are driven by the sacred cash cow only respond to one thing. Remove the source of income and they will go. If it means killing the patient to remove the infection then so be it. That said, I honestly believe BFC would survive in the long term even though people do get out of the habit of watching 'live' football. Nevertheless tribalism and community around a football club is strong and old habits die hard so should new owners come along there is the potential fan base to rebuild. Even after the protracted absence in fans in grounds during Covid lockdown, people have returned and crowds are more or less back to what they were at most clubs. In summary, I sincerely believe BFC needs to 'fail' in order to rebuild bigger and stronger. Controversial I know, but better than struggling on with the shambles that it is now. 'Tough love' is the only way to rid us of these parasites.
