Willie Ferry - who was he?

I get that these cards were legends from 80s onwards pretty much (which is a shame) but surely Clint Marcelle should've featured as a legend!

 

I know this is digging up an old post - I just googled Willie Ferry and this BBS post came out at the top of the list. The reason I searched for him was that he has just cropped up on Facebook in the "English Football in the 1980s" group. He posted that the best player he played against in 80s was Frank Worthington who was player manager of Tranmere at the time. He claims that Frank knew who he was in the post-match drinks at the bar .

I've just messaged him and am waiting a response. If he says anything interesting about his Barnsley career (4 games!) I'll post it here.
