Well it's either lose money on a good experienced player or lose money by being relegated to league 2.
Does he control the budget? Do you think sacking him should also be accompanied by a change in transfer policy back to older players of the Proschwitz ilk?
No of course not. I just want Wilson to sign much needed experience to give us a better chance of staying in this league.
You mean the club. The club has decided what type of player they want. The experienced players we've signed have been gambles and haven't worked
Is that true? I personally haven't seen or heard anything about the club deciding on what type of players to sign and who.
My understanding is that signings are being identified by an analytical process designed to rectify our poor goal scoring record last season. On top of this the intention is to bring in, in the main, younger players who in theory actually want to play for us and will be cheaper
We can't afford experienced players. Danny tried to siphon Baker and Davies but we didn't have the money. We are where we are.
If that's the case then....well...I am quite skeptical really. Clearly we need players who want to play for us, but we need to get that balance right when it comes to younger and experienced players. Plus it makes us look silly bringing in young players on loan, and leaving out our own young players who need developing. Personally I would be looking to send back the likes of Waring, Pearson and Kiwomya, and use the money to bring in experience.
