We may win this game, I suspect not, but the team selection need questioning regardless.

Why select someone to bat three, maybe the key position in a batting lineup, who has barely played a game of fifty over cricket?

I’m puzzled. And I don’t know why we needed nine bowling options either on a batting friendly strip when it leaves us with Sam Curran at six and Rashid at eight. Both at the very least one position too high. I think Mousley is more an eight than a seven too.

 

We've wickets in hand so we should be in with a good shout at a win, as long as we dobt get bogged down and then do sonething stupid.

 

Good score (s) needed from Curran and / or Livingstone I think, as there’s not a lot to come

Still think the selection is questionable. Though we are missing Root and Brook, as well as Buttler. If Root is still being considered.

Another series missing key players due to a test series being nearby and a lot of new guys blooded in when they could have carried on with the likes of Bairstow.

So all things considered we are doing OK and the steep learning curve will hopefully pay dividends from a year or so down the line when they have gained much more experience.

 

Last nights game. What a joy to watch. Windies. Every player going for it with the bat. Superb fielding by England. Then Englands response. Highest ever total to win a game on that ground by any international side batting second. Salt, with a ton + not out. Bethel 50 +.not out. His indies bases relatives overjoyed. And that catch to get Butler out first ball wow. Roll on Tonights game.
