You say it’s too early to judge fridge yet you’ve not actually seen Brittain or Kane play for us? I get that you may have seen them both play for other teams but surely we should judge them playing for the reds? After all, I remember lots on here being like “wtf” when we signed an unknown Ludewig.

We have Williams, Oduor, Brittain and even Styles that could play left wing back so I’m not too fussed about that. I know it’s none of their actual positions but I don’t see it being that much of an issue.

I do agree on the Brown replacement though, I would’ve liked to have seen a physical presence up front with Cauley.

I'm not writing off the signings, it's just that I'd take the players we know over unknown quantities with the history they have. Particularly when Ludewig's replacement was released by MK Dons a few months ago. He might turn out to be brilliant but based on what we now know I'd be surprised if anyone would prefer Kane and Brittain over Brown and Ludewig. So if we're scoring the window I just don't see how it can be 8 or 9.

The release was a bit weird but I would guess COVID had a lot to do with that.

I get what you’re saying with the unknown quantity but we’re always in unknown territory when signing players so on that basis, we would barely sign anyone because they might not be better than what we’ve got? That’s the excitement/risk of transfers.

I’m looking forward to seeing Kane play for us and hopefully he can be that creative spark we’ve so desperately needed this season.

Time will tell. The transfers seemed to have put some fresh hope into some of our supporters. Whether that be the players or the board.

Nine out of ten for me. I am feeling more positive about the season ahead, and the signature of Woodrow is a massive bonus also.

I'd give it a 6. It's an improvement on 8 but I don't think they're ever going to do better than XP tbh.
