Dunno mate. We had this debate on here last weekend. Perhaps they hope you will exceed you monthly minutes or stay with them after the 12 months. Someone else suggested they get commission on calls made to the O2 network from other networks. Either way, it's a good phone and all seems fine to me.

Yeah, maybe. But it is only £30 a month and they give you £90 back at months 5, 7, 9 and 12 so they can't be making that much on it!
