    Would have thought teaching a young player would be far easier than trying to teach someone who has been playing
    for say 8or9yrs who would be set in there ways.In fact I am that confident that we will end up in the playoffs,I’m sticking £20
    quid on em.:D:D

    Heckingbottom was more competent that Morais, l’m more competent than Morais, the guy who sits next to me in the Pontyend is more competent than Morais. Yet we were only relegated in the last few minutes of the season and by only one point..........
    The point I’m trying make is that it took a monumental effort of shear incompetence to get us relegated last time so I really do not get all the nervousness about the forthcoming season that is swilling around on the bbs. COYRs

    It was a truly awful league that season. And yes it was very close... somehow, in the end. But if that had been a more typical league, we'd have been down a good deal earlier.

    The parallel is we're going into a season with many unproven players who have potential. And many of them having only just arrived, including our defensive core. At this stage, nobody knows how we'll do as there is so much uncertainty, even with several of our other players being in the last 12 months of contract meaning they should be sold by the club. Not to mention Stendel only having 12 months left.

    As I said previously, we could be a revelation... or we could be a disaster. At this point I'd snap your hand off for a 21st place finish.

    Agree there's a distinct possibility of Thiam, Cavare, Pinillos and Dougall being sold. (Contract lengths taken from wickipedia).
