I don't think Hammill, Gray, Adam etc, are coming mate ..

... I hope they are but I fear the worst.

If they do come, I will agree, it was worth the wait

RE: You watch the same game?

I've already got the dvd and as I said he did well but let's not start making out that he's capable of that on a regular basis because if he was he would be doing it by now.

As I also said he doesn't need to have John Terry in his back pocket every week it's the other centre halves in the Championship who seem to have no trouble with him hence the reason for his fecking appalling strike rate

    RE: yes

so as long you're winning it doesn't matter if it's the Barclay's Premier or the Unibond Premier?

fact is, you're moaning for **** all

a win is a win, 1-0 vs Wednesday or 1-0 vs Frickley, doesn't matter, its a win.

if we were in the Unibond and kept winning, id be happy.

we're in the championship and if we win, ill be happy.

no need to moan because theres nothing else to moan about. kin ell fire. go play outside or something

I think 99.9% of sane fans (of any league club) would disagree with that

i agree with that comment but we have gone into preseason with a mentality of treating it like a league game not a kickaround which has not happened in the last few years, after 40+ year of supporting the reds i cant remember a pre league season like it, ive got good vibes about this year and will settle for mid table and upwards as much as i hate davey im prepared to give him a chance because it seems like the mentality is right at the minute hopefully to carry on, also i think Luke Steele's rallying call before the first game was right BRING ON WASHDAY LETS HAVE THE TREBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you on this one...

... pre season friendlies are likely to have very little bearing on the results in the season. I remember beating York 6-0 in one and thinking ' this is our year' .... but it wasn't and we were *****.

However althoughif we'd lost all the friendlies it wouldn't have bothered me to much i'd much prefer positive results.

The real time to start stressing about the strength of the squad (or lack of it) is on 1st September when the window shuts. There are plenty of other clubs who are yet to buy anyone.

The manager has still got a month to go until the window closes so cut him some slack until that point.

His appalling strike rate thats on a par with Billy Sharp at this level

and some folk on here would pick him up from Bramall Lane personally.

Maybe another Oddjob has come for pre-season training, Kayode is still in Nigeria, l bet they're like the Sodje's there's loads of them. He's dad's still fuming at his Wembley miss, so on his first return to his homeland he's put Kayode back into farming and sent his brother over.

Hopefully they will! I do think it is a difficult position though and one we've lost out on before with Phillips. but if we are to be ambitious we do need to wait for players of their quality because people who are available now owuldn't necessarily improve us. Its always a worry waiting for a player in case it doesn't come off, but equally i wouldn't want him signing crap just cos they're available

KO's strike is worse than Billy Sharp's but that's irrelevant as I wouldn't have him either

So the real KO is the one who played against Chelsea and the other poor games have all been off days then

me too, can't believe the way people have been banging in about the results. Pre season is about getting near match fit and knob all else, seen too many good/bad pre seasons only for the actual season to go in the opposite direction to think owt else.
