Just trying to work out what record each of them contributed to that season. I did find this interview with Ridsdale from the Grauniad's report of Gudjon's sacking: "Obviously Gudjon has gone and we had an outstanding relationship, but football is all about winning football matches and following one win since Boxing Day we felt he was not going to take Barnsley where we wanted to go." "Barnsley's last league win was against Blackpool in January and they have subsequently slipped to 10th place in the [Championship] table, four points adrift of the play-offs."
Bizarre how he's now nowhere to be seen. I assumed the recruiting of Pearson and Scowen would then allow Bailey to play in his more natural position, because holding midfield is not what he's about, as he's shown when selected. The lad can play, pick out passes, has time on the ball. He, with Hourihane and a proper holding player would be a decent shout for me. But I'd be playing 3-5-2 as I reckon it'd suit our current squad more than the current system that I can make head nor tail of.
Not the one I saw at Preston. One of the worst performances I can recall from anyone in a Barnsley shirt. Would love it as well Jay if you didn't resort to the 'FACT' thing when all you are doing is offering your opinion. SM used to do it all the time and that's no recommendation!
We've never had it so good. Apparently. http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showth...istory-Time-to-Stop-Moaning&highlight=Cricket
