I think as well that he'd wanted Steele to rush out.

Wiseman will have been playing under instruction from his manager as all the team were. Both defense and the midfield were poor today. Its time we bought more Championship class players in and off loaded the L1 and L2 guys.

Perhaps if you've watched us often enough you may have worked that out for yourself

I don't agree with that. Don't want a row or anything, just putting forward my point of view.

First season under Keith Hill he was average at best. A couple of good games, but on the whole he struggled to make that step up and Hassell was by far the better option at right back. Second season under Hill he started well, then we played Peterborough at home who just murdered him in the air. He lost all confidence after that, progressively got worse until that Blackburn game when he fell apart. Looked like we were going to sell him, but he turned the move down and when he came back under Flitcroft he was a different player. I thought he was superb from that point on until the end of the season. Started this season in the same vein, again looking excellent, but the last couple of games I've seen against Forest and today versus Watford he hasn't looked good. He wasn't alone though and he wasn't the worst player in either game.

If you think an impartial observer would have watched that and said "Right back, that's the big problem area" then I can only think you earn a living grinding axes. You probably wont care to remember that
Anya gave Hassell worse grief season.

And Noble-Lazarus on the left. Or Jennings. Or Cywka. And Mellis in the middle.

In the 1-0 Barnsley win where he scored the winner you mean?

Btw, I personally have no axe to grind with any player or manager/coach/director.

I think Wiseman was poor today, but after COG, he's been our standout performer this season so far.

Worse players, or more culpable at least, than Wisey today.

TK, Dawson, Perkins, Cranie, Ramage, Etuhu.

But will Flicker replace/drop any of them?

    We'll see.

Perkins should have carried on running and running, Forest Gump style, until he was miles away from Oakwell.

Yeah, just go in on Anya whilst hes at full tilt whilst in the area, giving away a foul and subsequent penalty.Fantastic idea. Where was the man following the bloke who put it in? Haven't seen any criticism of him. Some people have no idea. Wiseman was completely isolated in that first half.

you are right about wiseman, completely isolated,he had that number 21 to sort out as well as anybody else making runs further in,its whats around wiseman that's giving him problems,no one can cover all that open space he was having to see to.With a decent team around him I reakon wiseman will do ok (and I thought he was poor when we first got him).
out of the lower league players we got, Scott Wiseman is definitely one of the most improved, his hard work has come through in my opinion.
