    Most teams in the 70's , 80's had at least one truly world class bowler - whereas the west indies whole attack was world class. No hiding , no playing out the opening attack - the next two in were equally as destructive. It was also a battle of the all rounders - botham, kapil dev, kahn, hadlee - it was a golden era for cricket

    Uncovered wickets and no short pitched bowling rule either - sorted the men from the boys. Allan lamb - loved the battle :)
