If it rains for a week and all games are abandoned, I reckon we’ll be third in group or have I got it wrong ? Just saying
New Zealand are top so if we're second when we play them it won't make any difference as long as we beat Sri Lanka. Unless Australia's remaining games are Ireland and Afghanistan.
Australia's last 2 games are Ireland and Afghanistan! That's why we need two wins to guarantee semi final place
We could do with playing and beating the Aussies then we only need one win from the last two games and the Aussies would be more or less out.
Going currently Heavy at Flemington! Will Buick's mount in Tuesday's Melbourne Cup Without A Fight has won on heavy!
Some really good racing over in Australia if you can be bothered to run through the form. Godolphin have a few winners through Cummings. Then there's Aussie trainers that are quite prolific and worth following such as Chad Waller and K Lees. Flemington, Randwick and Rosehill seem to get the best meetings.
The toss could be crucial looking at the colour of the pitch. The aussie attack on that green surface will be a handful for any batsmen. If it goes ahead of course.
We are probably out now. New Zealand have such a good RR one win should be enough for them. If we win both games we might still not qualify as the two Australia have might put them above us and us beating New Zealand won't put us above them unless we thrash them like they did Australia, which isn't likely.
I'd be amazed if either got anything against the Aussies. We need to be looking at 2 wins from our 2 games otherwise we are out
We need New Zealand to beat Sri Lanka and hope that if Australia do slip up it's v Afghanistan rather than Ireland. Like you say. 2 wins might not be enough. In an ideal world though we'd go through with two wins. The weather being what it is a win and non result might take us through.
New Zealand play Sri Lanka tomorrow and Australia play Ireland on Monday. Then we play New Zealand on Tuesday. Big few days ahead.
Looks like the rain is going to cost us. I think we'd have sneaked home against Ireland but we really should've maintained a better run rate knowing how bad the forecast was.
OMG I’ve got headache now …. They’ve just said on Sky that we need to win last two and even then, we’re not absolutely certain of going through
