    Thought they might be controversial, P72! Fact is though, this type of thread is surely designed to stimulate debate. Cranie at certain times gave the appearance of having a touch of class. Too often though he was associated with some of our car crashes, and never ever offered the leadership that his position as captain demanded. He has relegations on his CV and seemed to me an icing on the cake player - OK when things were going well, but unable to turn things around when we were facing adversity. All in all, a huge disappointment in my humble opinion. Macken slow timed us. Never exerted himself, and coasted in a fairly poor side. Maybe got some goals, but a long way off being worth what was probably a good salary for us at the time. It's a poor example to youngsters at the club, and I feel helped to shape some pretty poor attitudes among our players following Ritchie's departure.

    I am very hopeful that LeeJay's acquisitions will prove to be more worthy.
