    Hull Away under Keith Hill.

We played 4-6-0 and lost 3-0 I think.

I might have been too kind with my original post. I don't actually think we had a shot at all, never mind one on target

    Lots under Schopp and Poya

I remember a rough 3-0 loss to Wdnesday at home, around 2008-9 ish. Think we made a triple sub on 30 mins

Wembley this year. Not the performance or anything. Just the completely perfect example of losing to ‘them’ in the most Barnsley way possible. With everything on the line. You couldn’t write it. Unless you were Stephen King.

We lost to Hull 0-1 at home. Neither team had a shot on target. Hull’s goal came from a corner, snacked Frazier Campbell on the backside when he was looking the wrong way and went in. Both teams were abjectly poor.

A few already mentioned, the 0-2 at home to Milwall in Arctic conditions, the 4-0 at Belle Vue back in 05, both freezing, & I was sat or should I say stood in the home end for that game.

Another one that springs to mine is Reading away back in the Robins era, Chris Wood & Gary O’Connor up front, lost 3-0 I think, Jimmy Kebe battered us, & the two mentioned strikers were donkeys.

Chesterfield away first game of the season, Lee Johnson era, 3-1 down playing atrocious, Coppers wouldn’t let us leave, tossers.

Another Doncaster rovers loss, 2 days after the hammering of Leeds on NYE we went to Donny & got battered, Billy Sharp scored, Miles Addison played, shocking.

Any game under Danny Wilson’s 2nd spell, he was atrocious.

Screenshot_2023-10-14-09-28-39-803_com.android.chrome.jpg Surprised nobody's mentioned Watford home at the tail end of the Bassett era. Live on Sky. Lost 1-0. Both sides were absolutely appalling. They scored at some point, don't remember when. We would never, ever have scored in a million years of playing. It was insanely cold. The only game I've ever left early when there's only been a 1 goal difference in the scoreline, and I think there was still about ten minutes left. That's how little threat we posed.

Edit - just found the line-up. A pretty weak bench but that starting 11 should have been ok. Apart from the complete and utter lack of midfield creativity....

Not even in my top 50 worst games. Especially if we scrub the first 20 minutes.

We’ve took some hammerings in our time but that was certainly one of the dullest games. Bizarrely there were loads on here who defended it at the time

Millwall away late 80’s, lost 4-0 or 4-1 at the old Den. Not the most pleasant place to go and just to stir up the natives one of our lot managed to pee on the locals below as they left the ground.

Jimmy carter tore us apart and got a move to Liverpool a few weeks later.

Needless to say leaving the ground was eventful.

I remember he started Tunnicliffe at City. We were brilliant for a couple of months, signed him for a month & didn’t win a game while he was here then as soon as he went back we started winning again & stayed up.

Derby away. 4-1 defeat. Hammill crying & no one else seemed arsed. Sad, sad day

That's just a load of centre halves and a load of centre forwards.

I remember that game. Got dropped off in town by a mate and left my coat in his car. By the end of the match I was on the verge of hypothermia

I think Bassett had pretty much given up by this point. Rumour has is that he told the board at the start of the season there was no way he could have us challenging for promotion again unless Eaden and Hignett were properly replaced. He was probably right, but playing a completely knackered Robin vat of Lard in a midfield one is a pretty unsubtle way of proving your point.

I wisely stayed at home and watched it from the comfort of my sofa! But I still contend that it wasn't even close to being one of the worst BFC matches of all time.
