Despite not moving from the centre circle He was a class above anyone else on the pitch. Our players spent the whole game passing to him, and although he couldn't move he hardly ever lost the ball. I remember thinking at the time, what would it have been like to watch him play every week when he was at his peak, because even when he was too big to run he was a class above anyone else on the pitch
RE: Midfield dynamo = Jan Molby Molby, what a player. Think it was his first match for us v Derby when he hit a 30 yard rasper which we scored the rebound. Had a fair gut on him though.....
To lay this to rest Nicky Eaden is the best right back / wing back we have had in the last 30years. End of discussion Some Barnsley fans shock me more and more every day with their limited understanding of football
Gioer.
Great crosser but he didn't have a tackle in him. His ball placing ability made up for that when playing as an out and out winger but whencalled onto defend he was always found lacking.

Darren Forman and Tony Rees What a strike force they would be! I think Rees is the only substitute I've seen be substituted because he was **** and not cos of a tactical change due to a sending off! /poo
Right back, John Curtis by a country mile.
Wing back, there's nobody to compare him with. I think he's got it to himself hasn't he?

RE: Darren Forman and Tony Rees I know he's been mentioned already but Mitch Ward was not only one of the worst Reds players I can remember, he even had the audacity (on the eve of a Sheffield derby) to announce that he was a 'blade' and would therefore be rooting for them.
RE: .Can't believe no-one has yet mentioned Tony Bedeau Bit harsh on Bedeau, I think he only came off the bench once...at Birmingham? He was always a decent little player for Torquay. Given the chance, (A proper chance)...who knows?
"a decent little player for Torquay" Make that Torquay reserves. Couldn't get into their first team, but Parkin thought he might be able to fire in the goals to keep us in the 1st Division. Yeah right.
David Currie at Norwich in the FA Cup '92 Currie was brought on as a second half substitute. He lost the ball a couple of times and Machin dragged him off. Only lasted about 10 minutes I think.
