The potential was there, no doubt... Just the application. He's one of those players for me that you can't help but think he could've been so much more - I suppose it's why I defend him...
More time on the training ground with finishing practise, but as you say... ...the ability was there, the application wasn't. They should have paid him dependent on goals scored.
ANOTHER stupid question.. Burton... i'd like to say what i want to say but i guess i'd be labelled racist..
http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/images/emoticons/******.gif

No contest, it just has to be Phil Gridelet. I've seen worse players in my 38 years of watching (Brian Mahoney, Willie Ferry, Dave Regis), but they were journeymen - Gridelet thought he was the business - quote: "I will play for England". He was *****, end of story.
You are all wrong! Dave Regis has to be the worst by far Does anyone remember that miss...? he hit a shot wide from 1/2 a yeard and I mean half a yard........ Marc Richards may even struggle to do that
RE: You are all wrong! Dave Regis has to be the worst by far He missed the goal entirely at Derby from a couple of yards out.
Can't include Corbo in the list Simply because of his defence splitting pass that put Broocie Dyer through against the Dee Dars. He must have had some ability to put Dyer through on goal without an offside flag in sight! Who was that Spanish player, Pirri Pirri or something?
RE: The potential was there, no doubt... sheron wasnt a bad player,in fact he had loads of ability but had no b*llocks, if the going got tough sheron went missing,in ritchies team paul hayes is the new mike sheron.
but for true w*nkness, look no further than willie(the fridge)ferry

RE: The potential was there, no doubt... He wasn't exactly a heavyweight, that much is true! I mentioned Corbo the other day and someone said they'll never forget that pass against the Dee Dah's for Dyer's goal (I have, actually) - I think with me I'll never forget Sheron's performance against Washday under Parkin when we beat 'em three-nowt... Mebbe that's it...
