**** me you haven't seen 'Windtalkers' then... Trust me it's much much worse. Don't go anywhere near it. When Nicholas Cage slo-mo karate style kicks a a japanese soldier when he is taking a machine gun trench single handed, and at the same time spins around to throw a grenade, you know that this 'sincere' and 'realistic' war time epic is actually a big pile of *****. The story line runs out of steam once they explain that the US forces used native American speakers in the Pacific because the Japanese found it impossible to translate their native language - they try desperately to make it go somewhere and fail terribly. I think it's a John Woo film and he just doesn't know what to do with that kind of a movie. (N)
Agreed there Eating carrots does not make a film character cool. Layer Cake was annoyingly cack. I thought Thin Red Line was very good.
Goal 2 Just remembered how bad this was. The original Goal was quite endearing. The sequel was unbelievable. That's literally unbelievable, in a very bad way.
one of the all time classics truly scrumptious - oh yes. how modern film makers must wish that they could turn a concept into a film with a beginning, a middle (and storyline) and an ending. last film watched - the happening. nuff said.
