Remember Charlton beating us 6/7 nil and we applauded team off / cos they’d tried and was knackered from previous games

Its wasn't even the worst performance against Lincoln, as far as performances go, Maybe some will remember the 0-3 defeat in the Papa Johns Trophy against Lincoln in 2022, the second half performance in particular was appalling, Lincoln had 80% possession.

Terrible result and performance but to say it’s the worst in our history is laughable. Get a grip lol…

Crawley Town 5-1 Barnsley. 14th February 2015. In front of an attendance of 2,296, with, believe it or not, less than 200 away fans. Or 2,295 without your current poster. End of debate.

No it wasn't, but it was 1970, my only visit to old Trafford, and I still feel the pain!!!

Respect your opinion mate, but for me you promoted first chance you get, there’s never any guarantees about how you perform the season after, choose what division your in.

Definitely! I think we rarely lost after that.
Exeter and Southend away and Swindon at home, if my memory serves me right. Could well be out by a couple though

Yeah, completely accept that mate. It's just that I don't think the squad is ready and I don't think there would be a lot of money made available in the summer to improve it to the extent it would need it to give us a fighting chance. The thought of this squad in the championship with little to no changes made to it is a bit disturbing. There would be a more than even chance that the season to follow could be so demoralising it could set us back a few years.

The thing is that, although there are of course no guarantees as you said, I am encouraged that we seem now to be building foundations with players who can make the step us given the right time and experience, all tied to long term contracts. I don't want to ruin it and them by going up before we are ready for it.

I know it's not a popular opinion and I accept that.

The problem is that if the club don’t get promotion this year the gap between Championship money and league one grows from £6m to £9m.

We have a number of our players out of contract and expect to make another operating loss of over £5m. I do hope the owners are here for the long haul as this could be a very expensive few years if we are to remain competitive.

I think in the summer best we can hope for is some sell ons in helik and carlton morris to gain some cash and hopefully styles makes some sort of impact on the championship where a club will come for him. I agree though its looking bleak if we don't go up. Williams, kane, cadden and Cole all out of contract in the summer.

If we had put away the chances we created, it would have not been 1-5.

I’ve seen far worse than yesterday. The defending for the goals was obviously terrible but we played some good stuff especially in the second half of the first half. We went in at half time thinking we were unlucky to be behind. We got in some great positions & Phillips & Cadden put some cracking balls in we just couldn’t find the net.

Considering their long ranger should’ve never gone in & that we missed several great chances a 4-4 score would not have been out of the question where as in the real terrible performances we’ve not created much at all & have been dominated throughout.

It wasn't the worst performance, but it may have the worst effect on a season.
