    Workington in the mid 70's.......... 0-0 and under 3,000 in attendance. Torquay the same season was bad too with just over 2,000 turning out for that one. Days of Jim Iley, Mick Pickering and Ali Millar.

    aye, I think the last game of 77/78 was against Wimbledon we lost 3-2 ? and I think there were about 2,700 there. People don't realise how ***** the crowds used to be

    Probably when we played donny and we lost in the cup i think it was 2-5?

    all our fans started leaving about half time mid second half

    but at least that was the game where gordon owen laid nigel winterburn out with a great right hook.
