Sorry, but to me he just looks like the local pisshead that's probably a few brain cells short. Hardly a bigger threat than Isis or the Taliban. It'll be interesting to see how this one pans out.
Are you seriously comparing a speeding offence to this cretin? Are there no actions someone could take away from Oakwell which you’d support the club banning them for? EDIT Don’t bother, I’ve read the rest of the thread now and I’m pretty sure I don’t need to read any more from you
There are some absolute planks in this debate, on both sides. Can we not just accept the bloke is a proper absolute moron, needs banning, and that’s it. Why did anything else have to be said. The point scoring from all sides has been nothing short of embarrassing.
Fan doing Nazi salutes to opposing fans directly after a game and people on here think it would be harsh to ban him from the ground because it didn't take place within or he might have just been a bit drunk? Bloody hell. If you do stuff like that when drunk perhaps you should knock it on the head.
It’s not ‘a bit silly’ cos he was drunk is it, I could maybe understand telling em to F off or waving them goodbye, but if giving a nazi salute is the thing that comes to mind when you’re drunk, then you have to ask what is going on in that mind. Edit - to say I mean telling em to F off or waving goodbye if they were giving you some grief, again I’m not sure why you’d want to goad them for no reason anyway.
It does make sense to do a Nazi salute if you are a fan of Nazi ideology, and want everyone to know you are - which I think it's safe to assume this fella probably does.
what about others on wall, all ages there making all kinds of gestures and carryings on, so much for we all lived through pandemic and we wont need segregation when we get back because of our shared pain of missing football, everyone is even more tribal than before
I’m one of the most bleeding heart liberals you’ll ever meet, but does anyone know the context to this? I think I’d need to know that before tarring and feathering him.
Neither can I. I’m merely suggesting context is important, before deciding what action to take. It’s a still image. A still of Mel Brooks dressed as Hitler or John Cleese goose stepping for example, are very different to a still from a Skrewdriver concert. It may well be that he’s a racist bellend and deserves everything he gets. It may also be a stupid attempt at a joke at heavy handed coppers, or maybe even calling someone a nazi for hurling racist abuse at someone. My point is I don’t know, and I would want to.
There's a video of him doing it, not just a still image. He's amongst a group of others giving grief to an away coach as they pass. As I say, not sure what more context is needed to be honest.
Fair enough. I haven’t seen a video. I’ve only seen a picture. This kinda proves my point though. It’s only with the video footage alongside the still, that you get the context and are able to see what’s happened.
