Would Schopp offer the same loyalty?

Not disputing that, we did deserve to stay up. Just pointing out that even a manager like Struber got poached, even after some dreadful football.

 

I've seen them first hand. The problem is, because the vast majority of us are human beings, you can't get to grips with the fact they aren't. You look for a point of connection or a redeeming feature. There isn't one.

 

And the £6+ million we'll lose if we go down this season will not just let the wolves near the door it'll open the door and let em in. The £2 million is only any good to the club if the loss of VI doesn't mean relegation to L1

 

We can't keep replacing the manager every year and expect it to work out every time.

From the interviews with Conway etc, it seems like attracting a manager without a buyout clause in their contract isn't feasible, fine.

What I can't believe is that it's beyond our powers of negotiation to make this buyout clause active *only* after the completion of two full seasons with us, or 24 months.

That would give us much more stability on and off the pitch.

 

I'd have liked us to have chained him to the club for at least 3 years unfortunately football doesn't work like that.
The 2 million is only good instead of him leaving for nothing.
