Now THATS how to get a bite..and I'll have you know I'm 5'4" and 3 quarters in my wedges so less of the little
THAT wasnt A bite THOUGH. Your a midget, owt below 6ft is a midget in my eyes and if your over 21 and under 4ft then you should be made to work in the pantomines
That would have been a SIGHT not a site. A site is a place such as a building site, the site of the first moon landing etc. This was something you saw therefore its a sight. Its simple really, its English, OUR language use it properly please. Ok I'm a pedant but the poor use of English just p*sses me off.
Spot on mate but like I've said it was my fat thumbs on my iPhone, I do apologise but if you read through all my posts you will realise I did spell it correctly further down. I'm quite embarrassed by it because I didn't even notice until it was pointed out to me,
I bet you wish you hadn't bothered telling us now bossman? You have stirred it up with your bird story and shight spelling.
Re: That would have been a SIGHT My favourite game on this board is spotting spelling and grammatical errors of people that feel it necessary to correct others. I spy 5 in this passage
Apologiy accepted But I'll need that in triplicate in your best handwriting on my desk first thing in the morning..... I'm not a teacher by the way.
Re: That would have been a SIGHT Oh dear T-Dog! My favourite game is spotting the spelling and grammatical errors of those who feel it necessary to correct people who feel it necessary to correct others. And I have.
Re: That would have been a SIGHT Think you have to an expert to pull that off with spelling and grammar, something I aint by a long chalk by the way, but if had written 5 instead of five at school my English teacher would have gid me a scutch. Got a lot of scutches thinking back.
Re: That would have been a SIGHT Well spotted mate, I should probably have used a semi-colon and missed the apostrophe in "its" - although that is considered to be optional these days. I'm not asking for perfect grammatical English but just using the right words, in approximately the right place would be a good start. My pet hates are these. There instead of their, as in - "They should mind there own business." Unnecessary apostrophes like - "I value your comment's T-Dog." For what it's worth, going back to the original post, it was almost certainly a Buzzard. I don't think there's any other bird capable of carrying a rabbit that you'd see in that part of the country.
Your probably right, more chance being a buzzard, am no bird expert but have seen a red kite off M1 near Darton on a few occasions.
Re: That would have been a SIGHT Scarf, you are certainly causing some controversy with the absence of a capital letter in your username and by the use of a coordinating conjuction to begin your last sentence! We need to get out more...
Re: That would have been a SIGHT Only winding you up mate! I won't use proper english (see, no capital!) when I type on here purely to save time, and don't really care if anyone else does either. Although some posts by HT take the piss... Must admit, I thought he meant a website when I first opened the thread too, so you did have a point
Re: That would have been a SIGHT No problem, I like a good wind up. If you want to dish it out you've got to be able to take it. One of the best things about Barnsley is its people, they're friendly, good for a laugh and take the p*ss with the best of them. Always remember at Oakwell when one of the security phones started ringing and a female steward went to answer it, this voice rang out from the back of the Ponty "Deal love, deal!". Had me in stitches.
