    Done an amazing job was the reverend originally from the south how did he end up in Barnsley.

    He was originally from Hunstanton in Norfolk. He was a very fit and well educated man, believing in the 'healthy body, healthy mind' philosophy. I wrote about him in the last issue of WSB. He went where the church sent him.

    Thanks it,s an amazing story I really think there should be a statue of him in Barnsley so people know he was.

    Just realised he passed away on the 25th of April. We were promoted to the top flight the next day. Many years later, like. But still. Fascinating reading this thread. I love a bit of history. I love BFC. Do Father Preedy proud, Norbs. #YouReds
