If it really has changed so much mate I may give the demo a try - but i'll be honest here, I can't see it bettering PES. Don't get me wrong it may turn out to be the best of the 2, but I love PES and the way it plays. If the last Fifa was so good (according to the reviews) how come they have changed the speed so drastically? I think that Fifa concentrates on presentation and licenses rather than gameplay, but PES will always be king for me. I may well download the demo as u are urging me to so I can then slag it off... errr comment further mate ;-)

 

I've found Game to be a bit like that in the past - always getting the dates wrong. Play.com aren't usually off the mark.

 

I dont agree that the last PES was worse than Fifa mate, not a chance. I played the FIFA Euro Championships game and it was supposed to be a slight improvement over 08, but although it was better than I expected it just didn't have the appeal of PES. I was very disappointed with PES08 when it was released due to the lag issues, but when it was patched it was a huge improvement. I still play it regularly now and find it the best football game i've ever played - well, apart from sensible soccer on the Amiga ;-)

firstly the 360 uses DVD's and HDDVD's (which they dont make no longer) where as the PS3 uses Blu-ray discs giving them 3 times larger capacity to store data on, the PS3 has free online play, it is powerfuller than the 360

and thats before you buy the games at £40 a piece now if im not wrong that adds upto more than what a PS3 would cost you and the 360 is outdated technology plus you have a 2 in 3 chance of the red rings of death and have to send the damn thing back to microsoft for fixing. where as the PS3 has it all built into it no batterys needed for the controllers, wireless bulit in, loads of cool features like Playstation Home(coming soon) Life with playstation giving you real time weather and news updates,plus the PS3 is that powerful there is a feature called Folding at Home which uses the power of your PS3 to cure diseases and illnesses.

Buy a Xbox if you enjoy been ripped off i feel your mind is made up but ah well ill enjoy free online play while you have to spend £40 a year to be abused by some fat american kid.

 

Are you a clone of me, Ponty? lol. When PES is out we will have to arrange a match online if u like? I am a bit waz at it but I love the way it plays.

That's utter tosh.

You can get a Xbox360 with 2 games and a controller for 129 quid now.

Year old Xbox live is 20 quid, and worth every penny of that.

I've had mine for the best part of a year now, and never had a problem with it whatsoever.

what about playing movies oh yeah its only dvd's or HDDVD's which they dont make no longer, what about the external dvd player or wireless adapter? and £20! i play for FREE!!!! the PS3 whips the XBox all over and you know it

 

That £129 though is only the "arcade" version is it not? Meaning you have nothing to store data on? More expense then. And £20 for Live is still £20 more than PSN. There is also still time for you to get the RROD.

What do you mean, they don't make DVD's anymore? What planet are you currently living on?

External DVD player? What are you talking about?

I'll agree, the PS3 is a lot more powerful - but for pure gaming entertainment and actual game variation, the Xbox is the daddy.

 

Argue all you like - I've had both consoles, and much prefer the XBox for that gaming experience.

Hey mate i'm not arguing. Further up the thread I said it's each to their own. I personally wouldn't touch the 360, I love my PS3. It has so much more going for it as an all-round entertainment system. Purely for gaming then the 360 would probably win.
