Media Centre for streaming video to it

handy for downloads from net - saves you burning dicscs etc.

    Can stream DivX, XviD etc...

Also browse ya photo colelction, listen to your music etc....

Also you can download all the latest demos of games so try before you buy - i can sit for hours just playing them tbh!

RE: Media Centre for streaming video to it

Do the music / video files reside on your computer, or do you have to copy them (wirelessly?) to the xbox hard drive?

Presumably you burn the game demos to a disc first? How big are the downloads for these?

I'm getting shut of the video recorder upstairs and was thinking of getting one to use as a dvd player, games machine and a media player.

    TIA,
    Stephen

No if you get the premuim edition xbox with the 20 Gb HD you download the demos directly to that.

Its a fantastic piece of kit highly recommended.

Depends what games you like. Haven't bought any games in a while but of the ones I have I recommend Call of Duty 2 +3 , Tom Clancy GRAW, Fight Night 3, PGR3, Dead Rising, Star Wars Lego II, Saints Row (especially if you enjoyed the GTA games on PS2) Test Drive Unlimited.
Oh and definatelty, even if you don't normally like role playing games, buy The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Massive game, still playing it months after buying it and still finding new things!
Oh and for The Playstation brigade, I class myself as a Sony man, I bought the original Playstation, a PS2 and I will also buy the PS3 when it's out. Never bought the original Xbox but the 360 is **** hot!

    Re: I'd avoid Dead Rising...

if you dont have a HD TV as you cant read the text at all, you dont even know what you're supoosed to be doing half the time. Madden 07 is also crap. It looks good as you'd expect but its not a patch on 04 on the old Xbox.

Avoid all EA Sports games as a general rule.
