I think Chesterfield had a poor finish to the end of the season you're thinking of. They came 3rd on 84 points but were beaten in the Play-offs on penalties by Notts County who finished 2nd on 107 points. Notts County did need extra time though to beat Boreham Wood in the Semi's, who finished 35 points behind them in the league.

A real shame Barnsley signed him on a 3 1/2 deal....cannot imagine there is any way we can keep him beyond this season.
