He already has become a hate figure! He's my next door neighbour and had to move here due to death threats towards him and his family
Surely easily checked, he said it infront of 3 others, what's Adil Rashid, Ajmal Shazad and Rana Naveed's recollection of the allegations?
I have seen things like these being dug up about Vaughan. BBC I imagine will be getting shut of him due to this report.
This article is from a year ago but Rana Naved seems to back up Rafiq's claims. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2...-azeem-rafiqs-racism-claims-against-yorkshire
Good shout. I’m sure something good could be made of this poor scenario that not only raises better awareness and educated folk, but also doesn’t affect the kids today being interested in local cricket. The Hundred did a lot of good this summer for all cricket. And got young kids and their families off the street and into the grounds.
Seems to me Yorkshire are only reacting due to being hit financially. If this is the case then what a shocking attitude.
I know mate he's under so much pressure and if he needs anything please direct message me. I reckon he and I have a lot in common in relation to YCCC.
I have on good authority that the full report contains evidence of widespread racist practices. These quite possibly pre date Azeem's claims. Basically everything we all knew deep down. I played.to a very good standard, in the late 90s early.2000s. I never played for Barnsley,.which was a personal choice. I won't explain now but the truth will come out shortly why. I played at Yorkshire, the worst time of my life. I'm white, registered Christian so God only knows what.Azeem went through. I'm really struggling at the minute, I already suffer with mental.health issues. I blame my.employer (government).for most of it. But this really as exposed many wounds. I sense that in Goughy at the.minute, he wasn't always the golden boy. Remember he was the son of a Monk Bretton rat catcher. That was passed to the Scum and other shithouse classist rags.
I used to work with a couple of lads from the Yorkshire academy in the early 00s and we went out drinking in Leeds a few times with a good chunk of the squad. They were generally nice guys but on the one occasion Vaughan and McGrath were there the atmosphere was very different. Those two were very dominant over the group and generally rude towards the younger players as well as bar staff and most people the group bumped into. It was a very uncomfortable environment to be in. Although it's a small sample size... I wouldn't find it hard to believe Vaughan said and did some inappropriate things in his time. My experience of him back then was a very obnoxious and arrogant bloke generally acting like he was untouchable. As others have pointed out.. it's hard not to read into his lack of tweets on the subject
Honestly can't like this enough, I loved it in 2005 when we won the Ashes back. But he was the captain and it killed my spirit. McGrath is a lovely person, pure and simple. I'll leave it there, other than to say hope he enjoyed his visit to the dentist. The current head coach needs a serious looking at, a good a little soldier.......
Michael hair dye, false teeth, false stories, and one of the protagonists in this unholy mess. He's a good little YCCC soldier, knows what to say and when. I'll love 5 mins with him alone.
I was reading earlier that Mark Arthur and Martyn Moxon are furious with YCCC and the fact they've not come out all guns blazing in countering and dismissing Rafiq's claims. It looks like these guys genuinely don't believe they've done anything wrong! Just shows you what sort of culture they've developed there, absolutely disgusting.
Think the only way back is to have a complete clear out from top to bottom and get to work to turn a bad thing into a good thing.
