I come to this site because I am a Barnsley fan nothing else I pass my comments and beliefs about Barnsley fc that's what this site is supposed to be about but some people just want to argue. And let's face it all true Barnsley fans want Conway and company out and the team to do well. Is this what you want. Or is it just an argument . I have stated my feelings and that is my opinion. If you don't like it go and curse me on Facebook cos I won't see it
I don't use facebook. I'm not sure what you're expecting of the Chronicle. You said you want them to interview Barnsley fans. Well there are plenty passing comment here, many many more than you would see in the Chronicle pages. That's my point. No argument at all.
I see you are one of those that has to have the last word. I will just explain best I can. As I have said I put things on here because I am a Barnsley fc fan. I don't do any social media. Many people don't social media and don't do Barnsley fc forum but a lot of the people that don't do these things are older people who do things the old fashioned way like reading newspapers. Now if I write to the Chronicle, usually you may get it printed if it is a story they are doing or investigating. If it isn't you are not liable to get it printed. But if they did a piece about our club like they do and came and interviewed people or asked for opinions . Then you might get in. But I understand the sports editor reads this forum but doesn't seem to want to interview people. So my question is then, is the actual owners of the Chronicle actually bothered over the football club or is it that the owners of the football club don't bother feeding information to the Chronicle so the Chronicle don't bother asking
I thought we were having a discussion? I mean if you want to turn it into a soliloquy, just let me know and you can have free reign. I wouldn't be surprised if the local media had asked for interviews and been knocked back. It would certainly explain why YP and the Chronicle have been much more critical than I would expect. Didn't both the Chronicle and YP cover a significant amount of the recent CEO interview that the Supporters Trust covered? It's up for debate and subjective opinion whether any reader of the Chronicle has a different view of the current situation compared to someone who doesn't read it.
All the ceo was bothered about was new grills in the snack bars. Yes very nice to have but at this moment in time we want a bloody half decent football team and a coach/manager that knows what they are doing. Is don't get them there will be nobody at matches to serve food to. Again not rocket science but I don't think our owners have a brain between them
I'm certainly not going to defend the CEO i thought it was an appalling interview he gave. He did mention the grills, but in 2 and a half hours, I'd suggest that was a tiny proportion of the interview. He was certainly pressed on the £750k and all of the pressing issues. Sadly he didn't answer them effectively or hid behind the owners. I think if we're going to get anywhere, the first step has to be to get an effort at speaking with the ownership group. But I doubt we'll get much from that. Once that's taken place though, I think we're in a different sphere and who knows what will happen and how energised the wider fan base will be.
I think they have had long enough, just hoping there is some truth in the so called Facebook team having a buyer
