the top 2 of the group tot up their points in the games where they played each other and then half it. at old trafford lancs 22pts beat yorks 1pt & at headingley yorks 8pts drew with lancs 11pts us 9 by 2 = 4.5 them 33 by 2 = 16.5 same goes with other 2 groups, not looked but would guess we start bottom and not on alphabetical order either ;-) top group table (i think) notts came top of their group but lost both to warwicks which kinda makes it an unfair system warwickshire 22pts somerset 18.5pts lancashire 16.5pts hampshire 8.5pts nottinghamshire 5pts yorkshire 4.5pts

we will get 1 point, which now confirms our 1/4 spot, top 2 get home ties next so if we lose to lancs on sat it must be very narrow for the run rate to kick in, a very long journey awaits if we lose heavy, even then worcester can get 2 big wins and pip us for 2nd Also add lancs must also lose sun if they beat us On Friday's and Sunday's T20 cancellations, the ECB said Derbyshire were "unable to field a team of a strength appropriate to maintain the integrity of the match and of the competition as a whole". A statement continued: "The original Vitality Blast fixture will be deemed as having been cancelled. Under playing condition 16.11.4.5 The North Group will, therefore, be decided on an average points per completed match basis." Derbyshire and Northants are seventh and eighth in their group, both with nine points from 12 matches, but Yorkshire Vikings are second and in contention to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Thanks mate. looking forward to the match on Saturday on sky. Lancs play their other game Friday. So should a bit clearer what needs to happen. Come on Durham. And Brum.
looking like we'll need to beat lancs, durham need a huge 200 to win pakistan also flying, 205/3 still 12 balls left
lancs win worcester lose need a mathematical genius on to work out if we lose by a couple of runs we'd stay above them
Still not sure how it works mate. But way I’ve read it. we finish second regardless, if it’s based on average points per .completed game. If all results go against us Yorks 15 points from 13 games 1.154 average Lancs and Worcestershire 16 from 14. 1.143 average.
we will get a point tomorrow taking us to 16, lancs on 14, if they beat us tonight they go level and decided on net run rate, and don't ask me on that ;-) of course worcester are still in the mix also it says we get an average points per game v's the cancelled derbyshire game, which is actually 1.1 points, dunno if we get that though or rounded off to the nearest whole sure it'll be explained better later
lancs above us on run rate now, will wait and see if we get the extra .1 to overtake them just noticed we will be above them regardless, home tie....Scarborough?
