Probably the same with Wombwell and Hoyland which is what I was hinting at I.e. Its unfair to quote the Metropolitan Borough population.

Looking at the list Yorkshire football generally has been pretty poor as far as results and trophies go. It depends how far you go back, but if you look at 100 years as a milestone Wednesday would have to be the most successful.

Didn't Huddersfield win the league 3 times in a row in the 20's?

They did have success under Herbert Chapman, but it all went a bit t*** up after that... apparently their chairman spent most of his time trying to merge them with Leeds.

Started doing a spreadsheet to work it out, but kept falling out with myself on how to score it.
Is finishing 8th in the top flight better than winning the 2nd tier…

Anyway, we’re the best team in Yorkshire because we know we are.

The 5 sides in South Yorkshire have a combined points total of 9 points so far and we have 7 of those - we are MASSIVE!!

How anyone puts Hull anywhere in the top 6 is beyond me. Been to Boothferry Park countless times where there was as many Barnsley fans as Hull City fans.
Even with their “recent” success I would consider
    Leeds
    Wednesday
    Sheff Utd
    Bradford
    Huddersfield
    Barnsley
    as bigger clubs.
