... there are lots of them around Sheffield but most of them use a red bulb! (possibly why Blade was disparaging). -I take it Blade has never has a spell in hospital as if he had he would know that without nurses the place would grind to a halt.

That said, about 5 years ago I had a short spell in Barnsley Hospital and the nurses were great except one who terrified the life out of me. The first night after my op I was suffering a bit and had just got off to sleep at about half past ten. On go all the lights and she says..." show us thi' belly". I said "What?"... she says "Show us thi' belly". "What for?" says I. " Youre not going to be difficult are you? ...show us thi' belly" she says....."Oh all right ",says I hoiking up me 'jama top "... At which point.....SHE STABBED ME !!. Hypo Needle (which I had not seen) 'went in up to the hilt'! I swear!! "WHAT WAS THAT FOR" says I wide awake by now! "Stops yer blood clotting" says she. "I thought thats what these stupid socks were for says I."(Whimpering by now). "STOP BEING A BABY" she says. Same again the next night and the next ... after which I went home to avoid looking and feeling like a pin cushion.
I swear she waited round the corner each time until I had just got off to sleep . Mind you it did take me mind off the pain in my neck from the op.
