Michael Coulson, Chris Jackson, Colin Marshall who made a couple of sub appearances. The Nathan's. Anthony Kay. Ian Wardle. Gary Coatsworth, that centre half who came in when we sold Carl Tiler (I forget his name). The list goes on and on.
This has to be the most annoying thread ever because there's a kid that I wanna put forward but I can't remember his name. Coloured lad, only young, only played a couple of times (scored once if i'm correct). Think he was signed by Robins as a youth prospect. It'll come to me!
My first thought on seeing the title of this thread was Carl Barrowclough, although I thought Griff Jones looked like he had a decent career ahead of him too. And I know that he did go on and play in the top flight, but I thought Carl Tiler was fantastic and would have a solid top flight career. One who left us as a young kid and would have had a very good career was Ian Knight at Wednesday. His career was just taking off when Gary Bennett made that awful challenge that shattered his leg. I use the word challenge lightly, because a better word would have been assault.
Tom Baker Jamil Adam Simon Heslop Matty Steade Nathan Jarman Nathan Joynes We had quite a few young promising players around 2005 that all looked capable of having a crack at the first team.
Nathan Jarman is the one that sticks out for me, talked about like he was the next Michael Owen (When Owen was sh*t hot obviously).
Just had a look on his wikipedia, his clubs after us is mental. FK Senica in Slovakia - 14 games 1 goal Dong Nai in Vietnam Floriana in Malta - 10 games 5 goals CR Belouizdad in Algeria - 13 games 1 goal (released 1 year into a 3 year contract) Partizani Tirana in Albania - 2 games 1 goal since September 2013. Bet the lads got some airmiles.
Very true, strange one really. Thought he would have been able to make it in the lower leagues, but just seems to be jumping about from country to country not really doing much. He'll be a free agent before we know it.
He was signed as part of Davey's development squad, the first season we did away with the reserves IIRC.
