Now theres a player that gets largely overlooked on here. "The new Norman whiteside" as he was nicknamed was quite a player, Quick, powerful and good in the air and with both feet.

Great stuff again. Just one request please. The goal you included that Higgy got in a 2-2 draw at Bolton's Reebok was our second and if memory serves me right Barnard scored the first with a stunning volley from a tight angle. You don't have the footage of that goal by any chance ????

yes I do. If you're around tomorrow, perhaps I'll stick it on...

...or maybe a video of Barnard screamers later down the line? (chinny)

RE: I know you must be getting a bit fed up of requests BUT.......

I've definitely got some Cooper on VHS - goal and backflip against Stoke, and header plus backflip against the blunts in the cup. Obviously I have no idea if any of these tapes will still play properly mind! Have also got Archdeacon's one-man show at the pigsty in the ZDS cup somewhere!

but hirst could never ever be considered as a legend here as he only played a few games and we never saw the best of him. if we're to have a hirst appreciation then what about david speedie?

There's definately a Barnard montage to be made

He scored some class goals ... and assists (special mention to Hristovs goal at Leeds a Van Basten style effort supplied by Barney)

The trouble is, they'll all be from when he still gave a ****. People will see the Barnard montage and wondered why we ever let him go. They'll forget that he didn't try in his last couple of seasons
