    Because it was. Majority of the stuff on his youtube vids is from the Glavin era of the early 80s when we should have gone into the top flight. The Redfern Hendry and Hignett days were special as well. Apart from maybe Brian Howard we dont have players of their class these days.

    Fantastic memories though! West Ham away 5-2...what a belting performance from beiong 2-0 behind. Even the Hammers fans applauded us in the end!

    Brian Howard isn't of the class of Glavin, Hendrie, Hignett, Redfearn. I wouldn't even put him on the tier below (which I believe is occupied by the likes of Banks, Agnew and Currie). That's not to say I don't like Brian Howard - because I genuinely do.

    No hes not but what I meant is hes the likeliest of the current lot of "players" to make something happen in a game.

    Shows how far weve fallen though doesnt it? Same division, different class of players.
