That's something that worries me too. The experts seem to think that the immune response from the vaccine is stronger and longer lasting. I get the felling that for a few years vaccination will be a regular thing...
We already have context, for last April compared to April 2019. The NHS was severely stretched in many areas of the country. I'd expect most trusts to have similar problems this December. There's some mitigating factors which might help, and further restrictions would probably do it a significant favour. They're also better placed to treat Covid which will help, and people with vaccinations should be protected. I'd still expect to see hospitals having serious issues, although I'd happily be wrong!
So do we want full lockdown or to get out of Tier 3? I’m losing track... http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/tier-3-we-remain.298880/
Tottenham v Fulham off due to increase in Covid cases at the West London club. As others have said, if cases continue to rise, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that all football games could be suspended.
Tory spin will be Boris has found an extra 981 hospital beds. This govt must be taken to task over their complete incompetence
Hopefully a lag due to Christmas and the week on week data will be around the same. Sadly its yet further proof that the restrictions in place are not working to me.
I don’t recall seeing ambulances queuing up and having patients treated inside them in the past. But I’ll pass on your view to my daughter who’s been called back early from maternity leave. I’ll let her know that despite her manager being desperate for staff, some bloke on a football forum says it’s not serious. the upside is that she gets to the front of the vaccine queue.
He didn't say that it wasn't serious. He asked a question. It's also not unheard of to treat in ambulances sadly due to the long term underfunding
well my paramedic mate queued 3 hrs to get into DRI the other week, and he’s been a paramedic for 10+ years and says that’s the worst he’s ever known. Then bear in mind Donny isn’t even in a ‘seriously bad’ area, what’s that say about elsewhere? Is it still just media scaremongering? should I be telling him to stop being a drama Queen?
My question, which i believe was not available...was how many tests were done to acheive these figures and were they all recorded using the PCR method of testing?
Short of welding everyone into their homes and having the army deliver food parcels for a month wearing NBC suits then at some point until those who wish to be vaccinated have been we need to learn to live with it. Otherwise there will be nothing left come summer. A closed business gets 2k a week. Thats to cover rent. Rates. Insurance. Employers contributions to wages and pensions. The cost of destroyed or wasted stock. Utilities. When your rent is a grand a week. Where does the shortfall come from? I like a pint so ill use the white bear as an example. On a match day theyll clear over 15k. An average saturday half that. Old george. Two lads there have invested everything. They are running at 40-50% average turnover. Blackburns. Theyve chalked **** on it. Not enough internet orders. Greggs are laying staff off. Barnsley council have spent close to 50m since March. And just remember. Its bang in the middle of respitory virus season.[/QUOTE]
Makes you wonder how many people were positive during the first wave when deaths were over a thousand a day.
