Who made the Nostradamus'esque post at the start of last season (sorry, forgotten who you are), what is your take on recent events and our chances for this season?

    2/2 would be very impressive!

Yes I would be all for a @Robert_Goulet pre season report of what we should expect next season :) Hopefully people would be more respectful of his opinion than last time when he was made out to be a fool but was proven correct.

Absolutely, should have been afforded more respect and how right he turned out to be with pretty much all his predictions. First comment: 'give over you pillock' from our favourite, shoot-from-the-hip cowboy.

Goulet's online now, hopefully he's crafting something!

Ps his name always reminds me of that round-the-campfire Scouts song: 'Ging gang gouley gouley gouley gouley watcha ging gang gu ging gang gu...' Just me? :D

Gordon Owen one of the first to reply and always spoke up for the club and could never see wrong. Whatever happened to him on here :D

To be fair we didnt know he was spot on then. I couldnt believe it was as bad as he made out, unfortunately he was right and I and many others were wrong - I think we will almost all take anything he puts about the start of this season a bit more seriously this time

I recall reading the post and agreeing with most of it at the time. I think i commented about it in other threads but it was spot on.

This season my feeling is its another big rebuilding job like we have ended uo doing every 2-3 seasons of late. The team may take time to settle.

Im happy with the new manager and the attitude and touted intentions of the new board. Its all just now down to the playing staff, leaders, experience and how well we get off the mark.

We could finish mid table afer a season of adjustment and consolidation or we cohld finish top. All down to how well we start and strength of the squad. I dont think we will struggle but we may be hit and miss until we find our best team. We have to trust in duff for this.

a lot of unknowns at this point and we wont know until the first 4 or 5 games what we could be capable of.

If i had guess i think we’ll be up and down between 6th and 12th till xmas then pick up and finish top 6. If we get good replacements for morris and woodrow and unearth some diamonds from our data mining we could do better than expected.

Im a lot happier than i was last season after what i saw in schopp etc. after val left.

We didn't, which in hindsight made the pile on all the more spectacular! Comments such as 'you've had a mare here' - well, history has taught us a lesson I think.

I got called out on Twitter or Facebook for this thread. Repeatedly. Back in the Conway Out era. I assumed I must have been wading in with claims it was all wrong.

But I only made one contribution. Thankfully. People forget that that some supporters don't want to believe negative reports, because they don't want football to be a negative experience. Life's hard enough as it is without the glass always being empty in your football world.

Just done exactly the same. Spent most of the time expecting to read a response from me but thankfully I kept my mouth shut!
